Examine Yourselves 5

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

We may have opinions but we cannot look upon the hearts of others. God’s opinion is the one that is always right. He knows those that are His. How do WE know that we are His? One way is that He reveals to us that we are. It will help us to know whether or not we are His is if He has made us new creatures and made changes in our attitude and actions. One of His changes is that we want to stop sinning and do what He has planned for us. We will have different desires. We will increasingly know that His will is better than our own. We will have peace with God. The Bible speaks of peace in two ways, peace with God and the peace of God. Peace with God is a legal contractual reality. We may not feel that. We are also given the peace of God that passeth understanding. We can sometimes feel that.

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Romans 5:1 herefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
